URGENT TASKS IN GROWING ALL-SEED GRAIN FOR NEXT YEAR'S HARVEST

Providing guaranteed seeds for high yields and quality products from agricultural crops is the most important and urgent process, requiring high-quality approval testing.

In the climatic conditions of the Khorezm region, field approval tests in seed fields of cereal crops are conducted annually in May by approval commissions during the milk, wax and ripening phases of grain.

In our region, this year, 74 farmers, elite seed farms and scientific research institutes are planning to produce 7,500 tons of high-quality and selected seed grain on a total of 2,099 hectares of seed grain fields.

The regional department and district departments of the inspection are carrying out control measures to strictly adhere to the requirements of the Regulation approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 641 dated October 12, 2021, to conduct approval inspections in seed grain fields, to remove from seed and declare unfit areas with non-varietal mixtures and weeds.

In accordance with the relevant articles of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Seed Production", the Khorezm regional department of the Uzagroinspection issued warning letters to the responsible persons of seed grain acceptance facilities and seed workshops of the "Seed Production Development Center" system, to comply with the requirements of the standards for separate placement and storage of grain varieties when receiving seed materials this year, and to the heads of the approval commissions to conduct field approval inspections based on the established requirements.

As a result of these ongoing activities, the region aims to accumulate high-yielding seed grain with high varietal quality indicators for the 2026 grain harvest.
