Samarkand: 10 thousand 105 tons of cotton seed raw materials have been accumulated for this year’s harvest

It is known that cleaning, sorting, depilating and processing seeds in accordance with the requirements of state standards are one of the main factors in obtaining a good cotton harvest.

The Samarkand regional department and district inspection departments carry out a number of works on reception, storage, pre-processing, procurement and distribution of seed cotton, and quality control.

In particular, a total of 10,105 tons of seed cotton raw materials were collected by cotton textile clusters for the 2023 harvest in 54 garams of the region by variety and generation.

Also, for the 2024 harvest, 4 thousand 954 tons of seeds were cleaned and sorted, of which 671 tons were depilated, 3 thousand 863 tons were processed, a schedule for seed preparation, cleaning, sorting, depilation and seed processing was determined. was developed and validated.

According to this, in the Mitan seed warehouse - 849 tons, in the Ittifak seed warehouse - 622 tons, in Samarkand Best Seeds LLC - 1690 tons, in Marakand Sifat LLC - 700 tons. 3 thousand 863 tons of seeds are prescribed.

To date, 3 thousand 225 tons or 64.6 percent of seeds have been cleaned and sorted, of which 163 tons or 24.3 percent have been depilated, 520 tons or 13.5 percent have been processed, work continues.

In addition, during the season, employees of regional and district departments carried out 18 control activities and issued warnings regarding identified deficiencies.

Today, work on processing seeds for the 2024 harvest is under the full control of the regional administration and district inspection departments.
