GRAIN APPROVAL TESTING IS UNDER CONTROL

2 June 2025 121

For the 2026 grain harvest in the region, 83 seed grain-growing entities are planning to deliver 7,200 tons of grain from 2,332 hectares of land.

Control measures are being taken to ensure that the approval inspections conducted in the districts by the specialists of the regional department of the inspection are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation "On the procedure for approving agricultural crops on areas sown for seed".

Today, members of the approval commissions established in the districts have inspected 1,718 hectares (or 74 percent of the plan) of seed grain fields out of 2,332 hectares of land cultivated for the 2026 grain harvest.

Of these, 1,673 hectares were recognized as suitable, 45 hectares of seed fields were declared unsuitable due to non-compliance with the requirements for seeds, and 433 hectares of seed grain varieties were downgraded due to low varietal characteristics.

Also, this year, farm managers who have been growing seed grain are being provided with practical assistance by providing necessary recommendations on how to carry out quality cleaning of seed grain fields at least twice and, during the harvest period, mow seed grain fields with a designated combine from four sides of each contour and transfer them to commercial grain.
