QUALITY GRAIN MEANS QUALITY BREAD

In accordance with Resolution No. 345 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 31, 2025 "On measures to purchase wheat from the 2025 harvest and ensure the stable supply of grain to the domestic market", the Bukhara region plans to receive a total of 191 thousand tons of wheat from the 2025 harvest, of which 65 thousand 286 tons will be transferred to the fund, 110 thousand 14 tons to temporary storage, and 15 thousand 700 tons of seed wheat.

In order to provide the population with high-quality grain, flour and bakery products, ensure food security in the domestic market and stability of prices for grain and bakery products, it is required that the commercial representative purchasing wheat accepted for state resources receive and store high-quality grain based on the requirements of state standards, taking into account its use for food purposes.

As of June 11 of this year, a total of 55,455 tons of commodity grain, of which 21,675 tons were received for the fund, and 33,780 tons for temporary storage, were received in accordance with the requirements of the state standard UzDSt 880:2015.

The laboratories of the grain receiving stations are strictly controlled by the employees of the Bukhara regional department of the Uzagroinspection, based on the requirements of regulatory documents on the commodity grain being received, and the placement of the grain according to its quality and class, its correct analysis, and its storage in separate sample storage rooms.

Also, explanatory work is being carried out to laboratory employees at grain acceptance points to ensure that the basic and limited standards are met when receiving grain, and that moisture, impurities, grain mixture, nature, and quality indicators are within the limited standards.
