In Samarkand region, large-scale and planned work is being carried out on growing high-quality seed grain for the 2025 harvest. In all districts of the region, 324 farms and other agricultural enterprises are cultivating seed grain on a total area of 8,519 hectares.

This year, a total of 24 thousand tons of high-generation seed grain are planned to be grown from these areas. This will serve as an important basis for achieving high yields in the coming years.

To date, spring agrotechnical measures, in particular, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers, have been fully completed in all regions. At the same time, foliar feeding, weed control (annual and perennial), as well as chemical treatments against diseases and pests are being actively carried out.

Regional and district departments of the Uzagroinspection regularly monitor agrotechnical measures being carried out in seed grain fields. At the same time, practical recommendations and instructions are being given to farms on the timely and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures.

These works serve to ensure food security in the region, increase productivity, and strengthen stability in agriculture.
