THOROUGH PREPARATION FOR NEXT YEAR'S HARVEST!

Seed grain production plays an important role in the development of agriculture, in general, in improving the economy of our country. Seed grain, grown with great experience and hard work, is not only a source of income for the farm, but also plays an important role in ensuring a bountiful harvest next year. The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-158 dated September 11, 2023 on the “Uzbekistan — 2030” strategy stipulates a sharp increase in the level of productivity and profitability in agriculture.

According to information, in 2024, our advanced farmers from Namangan, having obtained a bountiful harvest of 80-90 centners per hectare, exceeding domestic capabilities, delivered more than 1,100 tons of seed wheat grains to farms in other regions with a certificate of conformity.

At the same time, super-elite and elite seeds suitable for our climate and soil conditions were imported from the Russian Federation, and the practice of obtaining high-quality seeds was established.

This year, it is planned to produce a total of 17 thousand tons of high-quality seed grain from 16 varieties of cereal crops in our region from the 2025 harvest at 224 farms, elite seed farms, scientific research institutes and 4 thousand 300 hectares of seed grain fields.

The Namangan Regional Department of the Inspection has taken under control the conduct of an approval inspection, which provides for the procedure for determining the varietal purity of agricultural crops in seed fields, their damage by pests, diseases and weeds, determining the volume of crops grown in areas deemed suitable for seed production, and issuing approval certificates, based on the requirements of the Regulation “On the procedure for approving agricultural crops in seed fields”, approved by Appendix 3 to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 641 dated October 12, 2021.

The main attention during the approval is paid to the fact that in each bundle of cereal crops taken for sampling, the mixture of other varieties and difficult-to-separate cultivated plants should not exceed 3 percent, the mixture of difficult-to-separate weeds should not exceed 2 percent, and when the varietal purity is less than 95 percent, dust When the level of damage by blackleg is more than 0.3 percent and the level of damage by hard blackleg is more than 0.1 percent, when the level of contamination with difficult-to-separate weed stems is more than 2 percent, when the level of contamination with difficult-to-separate cultivated plant species is more than 3 percent, the seed fields of cereal crops are considered unsuitable and removed from the seed ranks.

In addition, appropriate recommendations, warnings and written instructions were given on harvesting seed grain fields using separate combines, preparing seed grain acceptance sites for the season, and organizing work on accepting seeds at processing enterprises.

Based on the requirements of this Regulation, the Namangan Regional Department of the Inspection and the district department employees are constantly monitoring the quality approval inspection of seed grain fields in the districts.
