Accordingly, in the field of cotton seed production, a plan has been established for the 2024 harvest of 2,917 agricultural entities in the regions to conduct an approval inspection on 94,000 hectares of seed cotton fields of local varieties. 83 thousand 43 hectares were found to be suitable for obtaining seeds, 10.7 thousand hectares or 11 percent of the areas were found to be unproductive due to low productivity, lack of development, thirst, violation of agrotechnical activities and other reasons, and documents were drawn up accordingly.
The approval event for imported foreign varieties on 7.6 thousand hectares of seed cotton fields of 256 agricultural entities selected for seeding in the territories of the republic began in Bukhara, Namangan and Fergana regions, and today it was held on 1 thousand 145 hectares of 35 farms.
Of these, 839 hectares were found to be suitable (29 hectares), and 294 hectares (12 hectares) were found to be unsuitable, i.e. underdeveloped.

The inspectorate is monitoring the preparation of seeds for the 2025 harvest.
In particular, 84, including 38 of grain enterprises, 9 belonging to clusters, 19 in the system of the Seed Development Center, 7 of EUXs, 11 of ITIs and private enterprises are involved in the cleaning, sorting, treatment and packaging of seed grain, as well as quality control. is being done.
To date, 161 thousand 247 tons or 60 percent of seed grains have been processed and prepared.
The work of certification of the seeds accumulated from the harvest of the current year and surplus from planting in 2023 has been controlled, until today, samples have been selected for the analysis of quality indicators from 101,000 tons of seed grains, of which 80,000 tons have a certificate of suitability for planting and 4,000 tons documents on its unfitness have been issued, laboratory analyzes are continuing on the remaining 16.5 thousand tons.
At the same time, from the 2025 harvest, 150 seed grain distribution stations were established at a convenient distance to grain-growing farms.
Through these branches, there is a certificate of conformity in terms of planting quality indicators, and the distribution of high-quality prepared seeds for planting is being monitored. 6.8 thousand tons of seed grains have been supplied to farms for planting so far.
