A SEMINAR ON SEED SAVING WAS HELD

A practical training seminar was held on conducting field approbation inspections at the seed grain fields of "Zamin Angor Cluster" LLC in the "M.Azizov" area of ​​​​Angor district, Surkhandarya region.

The seminar was attended by heads of relevant organizations, the head and deputy head of the Surkhandarya regional department of "Uzagroinspection", specialists from the heads of district departments, regional heads of the "Center for Quality Assessment of Agricultural Products" DM and their representatives in the districts, heads of elite seed farms and heads of seed farms, representatives of cotton-textile clusters, and members of the commission formed to conduct approval from the regions and districts.

In the region, 181 entities that passed the tender competition for the right to grow seed cotton from the 2025 harvest are planting and cultivating high-generation varieties of wheat for seed grain production on an area of ​​​​6,724 hectares. To date, these areas have been monitored four times by specialists, and 67 hectares of land have been found unsuitable for seed production due to diseases and pests, weeds, being planted in the second year instead of grain, and other reasons.

The current task is to conduct an approval inspection of seed grain production areas based on regulatory legal documents and rationally select areas for seed grain production for the next year's harvest.

At the training seminar, the members of the commission formed to conduct the approval of seed grain production areas were assigned relevant tasks.
