December 9 is International Anti-Corruption Day.
In accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly of November 21, 2003, since 2004, December 9 has been celebrated as the “International Anti-Corruption Day.”
On December 9, 2003, in Merida (Mexico), at the initiative of the UN, the International Convention against Corruption was signed.
According to the General Assembly resolution, the purpose of establishing this day is to understand the essence of the problem of corruption, as well as to combat and prevent it.
