In order to scientifically and practically familiarize with the latest research conducted in advanced foreign countries on new methods of creating agricultural crop varieties, identification, comparison of genetically modified GMO varieties, seed certification, reproduction, production, and storage technologies, 7 members of the Delegation consisting of employees of the Uzagroinspection and the Center for Agricultural Product Quality Assessment under the Inspection are participating in the VIII International Seed Congress organized in Ankara, Turkey.
The Congress is being held in cooperation with the "Turkish Seed Growers Association", "Antalia University Faculty of Agriculture" and "Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry".
More than 1,100 representatives of influential organizations, including scientific committees, academicians, seed organizations, and producers from the USA, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Hungary, and other countries, are participating in the Congress.
The event will feature presentations by breeders on recent developments in the global seed trade, the importance of seed certification in agriculture, and drought- and coastal-resistant wheat and barley seed varieties.
