November 25 - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

In accordance with the relevant resolution of the UN General Assembly in 1999, November 25 is widely celebrated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

From November 25, the global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Violence" began in Tashkent. The conversation was attended by Ziyoda Nimatullaevna, Deputy Khokim of Shaykhontohur District - Head of the Family and Women's Department, and Firuza Abdurashidovna, Professor of Tashkent State Law University, Doctor of Legal Sciences.

According to our Basic Law, the honor and dignity of a person are inviolable. Nothing can be a basis for discrimination against them. During the meeting, they spoke about the fact that no one should be subjected to torture, violence, or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
