Our people have a saying: "A good seed is a guarantee of a bountiful harvest." In the words of experienced cotton growers, the quality of the seed planted in the ground is of paramount importance in obtaining a bountiful harvest of cotton.
Therefore, in our country, seed cleaning, sorting, de-hairing, and treatment against diseases and pests are currently being carried out.
Based on the requirements of Resolution No. 641 of the Cabinet of Ministers of October 12, 2021, the inspection's specialists are conducting systematic control measures on the processing of seed cotton raw materials received from the 2024 harvest and the treatment of seed seeds obtained from it.
In particular, practical measures are being taken to treat 29 thousand tons of seed seeds for the 2025 harvest in 42 seed preparation workshops belonging to cotton-textile clusters and seed enterprises.
Based on the applications submitted by seed producers for seed certification, samples were selected from 8.7 thousand tons of seed batches and accepted for testing in the laboratories of the "Center for Agricultural Products Quality Assessment".
Today, the Center has all the modern equipment for seed analysis, and quality certificates of conformity have been issued for 2.4 thousand tons of seed submitted for analysis and issued to seed producers.
High yields from agricultural crops and the production of high-quality products largely depend on the quality of the seed.
In this regard, the Inspectorate held seminars on seed preparation in accordance with the requirements of current regulatory documents on the ground, and provided recommendations and instructions to relevant employees of the enterprises.
The Inspectorate also monitored the preparation of seeds for farms and other agricultural enterprises for the 2025 harvest, the supply of quality seeds, the planting of certified seeds, and measures to complete these important activities by the established deadlines.
