In recent years, our government has been carrying out effective reforms in the field of agricultural seed production, paying special attention to the quality of sown seeds. After all, quality seed is a guarantee of high yield.

In particular, with the adoption of the decision PQ-641 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 10, 2021 "On the approval of certain normative legal documents related to the seed production of agricultural crops", the seed sector was regulated a number of statutes were approved.

Also, based on the powers granted to the Inspectorate by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 12, 2019 No. 575, regular control measures are being carried out over compliance with the requirements of regulatory legal documents in the field of seed cotton raw material production.

According to the results of the competition held in Tashkent region for the right to grow seed cotton from the harvest of 2023, applications were received from 119 economic entities, and 96 of them were declared the winners of the competition.

In order to continuously provide cotton-growing farms in the region with high-yield and high-quality seeds in the coming year, an approval (competition) is held every year in the areas planted for seed cotton.

As a result of cotton approval, the actual variety purity (fertility) of the variety in the elite and progeny planted areas of the varieties, variety mixtures, the degree of damage to plants by diseases and pests, and the expected total cotton yield, including the amount of seed cotton and its yield the expected amount of seed is also determined.

This year, in order to ensure the execution of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 7, 2023 No. 146 "On conducting field approval inspection in seed cotton fields" in Tashkent region in seed cotton fields field approval inspection in the field shed of "Orinboy Khoji" seed farm located in the Chinoz area of Chinoz district training seminar was organized.

This event was attended by all organizations and heads of cluster enterprises, as well as seed-growing farms and heads.

The participants got the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct field approval inspection in seed cotton fields.
