A meeting with representatives of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was held

As part of the assessment of the situation in the food safety system in Uzbekistan, the international expert group led by Mr. Orjon Djodzhi, one of the representatives of the FAO representative office in Uzbekistan and the FAO regional bureau, visited the state institution "Center for Quality Assessment of Agricultural Products" under "Uzagroinspeksiya"

During the visit, international experts got to know the activities of the complex of laboratories located in the Center.

At the same time, presentations were made to international experts about the role of "Uzagroinspektsiya" in the system of agrarian and food safety, as well as the processes of product quality assessment and certification.

The meeting was organized between the parties in a question-and-answer format, and the questions of the international experts were given detailed answers and explanations by the experts of "Ozagroinspektsiya".

At the end of the meeting, international experts noted that the work carried out by Uzagroinspektsiya in the agrarian and food safety system is well established and is being carried out at the international level, and also recognized the work focused on the quality of seeds supplied to seed farms in Uzbekistan.

The meeting took place between the parties in a cordial and cheerful spirit.

We remind you that within the framework of the International Conference on Food Safety held in Samarkand in September 2023, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. During the official meeting with Mirziyoyev and Director General of FAO Tsui Dunyuy, an agreement was reached to include joint activities in three directions in the new cooperation program between Uzbekistan and FAO until 2030.

• digitization of agriculture, including the use of information within the framework of the "Hand to Hand" initiative and implementation of the "1000 digital villages" initiative;

• introduction of new effective financial instruments.
