Agricultural workers work twelve months a year. Therefore, winter is also a responsible period for them. That is, it is during the winter season that equipment is prepared for the season for spring field work.
So, how is the repair of agricultural machinery in the spring 2025 field work in the Namangan region going? Abdukahhor Akbarov, head of the Namangan regional department of the Inspection for Supervision of the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Cabinet of Ministers, told an UzA correspondent about this.
– In order to ensure the timely and high-quality repair of agricultural machinery participating in this year's spring field work, dislocations have been developed. According to them, 46 repair sites have been organized. It is planned to participate in 1,244 tractors, 1,244 cultivators, 470 seed drills, 2,416 toothed harrows, 402 chisel implements, 278 stubble harvesters, 271 soil levelers, 278 OVX sprayers, 342 mineral fertilizer spreaders and 243 grain harvesters.
The condition of agricultural machinery and machines participating in the season was examined one by one by specialists, and the spare parts and funds required for repairing their malfunctions were determined.
The regional department of "Uzagroinspeksiya" and district departments monitored the review by district commissions of the equipment that was removed from repair and brought into a ready-for-season condition, the acceptance and issuance of certificates after eliminating existing deficiencies.
In addition, in the field, each agricultural equipment and machinery involved in seasonal work has been re-registered with the inspection bodies and passed an annual technical inspection in accordance with the requirements of the regulations approved by the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of April 29, 2023, as well as the issuance of tractor-driver licenses to allow mechanizers to operate machinery under their control, and the replacement of their licenses and technical documents with new plastic documents, and propaganda work is being carried out among property owners and mechanizers on the implementation of the decision.
When analyzing the level of agricultural equipment provision in Namangan region, it was found that 117 percent of the farmers in the region were equipped with tractors, 127 percent with wheel tractors, 127 percent with cultivators, 112 percent with seed drills, 139 percent with levelers, 109 percent with weeders, 110 percent with grain harvesters, 82 percent with chisels, and 66 percent with toothed harrows.
Over the past year, in order to replace obsolete, low-performance equipment with new, high-performance equipment, the regional Agrolizing company concluded contracts with 665 entities in the region for the supply of 812 units of agricultural machinery worth 85.6 billion soums on leasing terms. 127 units were delivered to Uychi district, 103 units to Uchkurgan district, 102 units to Mingbulok district, 97 units each to Kosonsoy, Norin, and Pop districts, 71 units to Namangan district, 45 units to Chust district, 34 units to Turakurgan district, 28 units to Chortoq district, and 5 units to Yangikurgan district.
According to the program developed in the region for the purchase of machinery for 2025-2029, work on updating machinery parks and equipping them with modern, highly efficient and cost-effective equipment will continue consistently this year, and it is planned to purchase 720 units of agricultural machinery worth a total of 318 billion 40 million soums.
