15 August 2024 1196

August is an important period in cotton care. In this current season, the supervision of the Agro-Industrial Complex Inspection was carried out by experts of the regional department and district departments of cotton agro-technical activities without delay.

182 farms specializing in cotton growing in Navbahor district of Navoi region grow cotton on an area of 6,600 hectares. Nowadays, agrotechnical activities such as cultivation, watering with juice and chilpish (chikanka) are continued between cotton rows.

In particular, the introduction of the cultivator between the rows of soil preparation without delay will improve the nutrition system of the plant, and prevent root rot and gommose diseases. 147 cultivators were involved in the season in the district, and since the beginning of the season, cotton was cultivated 8-9 times between the rows.

The suspension was sprayed on cotton fields in the district 3-4 times. At the same time, two full and third irrigations were carried out on 5,412 hectares or 82% of the area. It should be said that the control activities carried out by the specialists of the district department of the Inspectorate are becoming more important in the timely and quality implementation of such agrotechnical activities.

According to experts, on the same days when the fate of the crop will be decided, if 5 tons of local fertilizer is applied to each hectare of cotton fields and irrigation is organized using the juice method, the activity of existing microorganisms in the soil will accelerate, and the effectiveness of mineral fertilizers will increase up to 50%. Quality implementation of this process plays an important role in high productivity.

Since the beginning of the season, 120 deficiencies have been identified by district experts regarding the timely implementation of all agrotechnical activities in the cotton fields. In order to eliminate them, 2 submissions were made to district administrations, warning letters to 186 farm managers, and written instructions to 150 farmers.

A. Mansurov, chief specialist of the Navbahor District Department of the Inspectorate.
