Press tour: In Samarkand, more than 90,000 hectares of land are being cultivated with repeated crops

Extensive work is being done in the Samarkand region to adequately supply the domestic and foreign markets with cheap and high-quality agricultural and food products.

Timely implementation of agrotechnical measures in agricultural crops is important for abundant harvest. The control inspection of the agro-industrial complex was devoted to the press tour held by the Samarkand regional administration in the Bulungur district, to the cultivation of repeated crops on the land areas freed from grain, and to the holding of agrotechnical activities.

Press and mass media workers, bloggers of social networks and industry officials took part in the held press tour event.

At the beginning, those gathered were informed about the implementation of agrotechnical measures in the care of repeated crops grown on the main land areas intended for the cultivation of agricultural products, as well as on the lands freed from grain.

It was noted that agriculture and food production are of great importance based on the demand and supply of the population and the domestic and foreign markets.

For this purpose, a total of 90,450 hectares of grain-free land areas were planted with repeated crops for the 2024 harvest in the regions of the region. From this, 4 thousand 52 hectares of vegetables, 15 thousand hectares of potatoes, 35 thousand 96 hectares of leguminous crops and 36 thousand 303 hectares of food crops are cultivated, and it is planned to grow 478 thousand 873 tons of agricultural products from these areas.

870 control activities were carried out by the Samarkand regional department and district departments of the Agroinspection on the repeated fields planted for the 2024 harvest. and 16 submissions were submitted to prevent the identified violations, 624 warnings and 230 written instructions were given to farmers and farm households, heads of cluster enterprises, - said Shahriddin Butunov, chief specialist of the Samarkand Regional Department of Agroinspection.

Total for the harvest of 2024 in Bulung'ur district 6 thousand 70 hectares of land freed from grain were planted with repeated agricultural crops. Of this, 282 hectares of vegetables, 4 thousand 200 hectares of potatoes, 872 hectares of legumes and 716 hectares of food crops.

The Bulung'ur District Department of Agroinspection conducts continuous control measures in the repeated fields planted for the 2024 harvest, and today all agrotechnical measures are carried out on time and with high quality.

In this direction, the department carried out 182 control measures, and identified deficiencies are being eliminated in a timely and qualitative manner.

The main goal of growing repeated crops is to ensure the well-being of the population by effectively using the land areas free from grain.
