In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-164 dated October 22, 2024 “On additional measures to further improve the system of state control in the agro-industrial complex”, in order to increase the material interests of grain growers in the agro-industrial complex and provide consumers with quality grain products, to further reduce state participation in the grain market and to provide the domestic market with quality grain products, as well as to strengthen and further improve state control in this area, “Uzagroinspection” was entrusted with control over the quality of grain and grain products.
Also, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-262 dated May 28, 2022 “On Additional Measures for the Introduction of the Market Principle in the Production and Sale of Grain”, practical measures are being taken to ensure that business entities with flour production capacities, regardless of the form of ownership, are obliged to sell at least 75 percent of the wheat purchased on the exchange through exchange trades, regardless of the form of ownership, wheat of classes 3 (three) and higher purchased at the expense of the fund and accepted for temporary storage from wheat growers, comply with the necessary requirements for receiving, storing wheat and shipping the produced flour products to buyers.
The goal of carrying out these activities is to ensure that businesses produce quality flour products in an amount of at least 75 percent of the wheat purchased on the exchange and deliver quality flour products to the tables of our people.
In accordance with paragraph 8 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 146 dated June 25, 2022 “On measures to be taken to ensure the stable supply of the domestic market with flour and bakery products”, “Sakinat don zaydov” LLC, operating in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region, is conducting studies to determine the availability of flour production capacities, the compliance of the technological process with established requirements, and the correct organization of laboratory activities to control product quality, and explanatory work is being carried out on possible shortcomings in the production process and practical assistance is being provided.
