This year, 122 cotton-textile cluster enterprises and 28,707 farms in the republic are cultivating cotton on an area of 875.6 thousand hectares.
Today, in order to ensure timely and high-quality agrotechnical measures in cotton fields and to create a bountiful cotton harvest in the future, constant control measures are being carried out by the Uzagroinspection on the ground.
In particular, during the control measures carried out, it was determined that currently 3 percent of 26 thousand hectares of cotton fields are developing in the 3-4 boll phase, 550 thousand hectares in the 5-6 boll phase, 284 thousand hectares in the staking phase, and 16 thousand hectares in the flowering phase.
This year, 18,617 cultivators have been involved in the regions to cultivate cotton rows, and to date, 2.2 times of cultivation work has been carried out between cotton rows, and at the same time, one deep loosening work has been carried out on the entire area.
Also, cotton was fed with mineral fertilizers on 809.7 thousand hectares and irrigated on 24.4 thousand hectares, and mulching and suspension spraying were carried out on the entire area twice. It was determined that 1.7 times of goldfish and 1.6 times of trichogramma bioproducts were released on cotton fields to combat pests.
"Uzagroinspection" conducted 15,748 control measures on cotton care, during which deficiencies were identified on 54,801 hectares of cotton fields of 9,106 farms. 70 submissions were submitted to local khokimiyats and sector officials to eliminate the identified deficiencies, and 15,058 warnings and 620 written instructions were issued to farms.
During the season, the timely and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures in cotton fields in the regions is constantly monitored by "Uzagroinspection".
